Alex Mittendorf is currently General Counsel of Aptos Labs. Aptos Labs is building applications on Aptos, the next-generation Layer 1 blockchain creating a better user experience for the next digital era. Prior to this, Alex was General Counsel at Gauntlet, a company enabling financial risk management solutions for decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, and a director at Meta, where he led the commercial legal team for its Novi blockchain initiative. He previously worked as VP of Legal at Genos Research, as Head of Legal at Pocket Gems, the Sequoia Capital-backed gaming company, and at the global law firm Latham & Watkins. Prior to beginning his career in law, Alex was a software engineer.
