Rich Widmann is a senior operator and lawyer with extensive experience in blockchain and cryptocurrency.  Rich serves as the Global Head of Strategy for Web3 at Google Cloud, where he cofounded Google’s first Web3 efforts and oversees the ongoing execution of Google Cloud’s Web3 product roadmap.  

Rich often leverages his previous experience as an attorney focusing on regulatory and white collar criminal corruption matters as it relates to international corruption and cryptocurrency.   Rich is an adjunct professor at the Northwestern Pritzker University School of Law where he teaches a course on the intersection of fintech and regulation.  He is a frequent speaker and author on the adoption of blockchain technology by public companies and is a guest lecturer on topics related to cryptocurrency for the Federal Bar Association.
